AFL Round 10 Review (Season 2020)

Facts and Figures

Average Score: 60.64 points per team; fairly low scoring considering four teams had a final score of 74 points or more.
Average Winning Margins: 22.71 points per game, despite the fact there were four out of the seven games that were close games.
Round 10 (In a Nutshell): There were four teams that had the bye: Carlton, Fremantle, Hawthorn and West Coast. It was an entertaining Round of footy. Find out why!


Monday Night Game

Port Adelaide (55) v Western Bulldogs (42)                                                          Dogs Squander Golden Opportunity!
Facts and Figures: It was 17 scoring shots to 15 in the Western Bulldogs favour. Incredibly, Tom Rockliff had 15 tackles! Port Adelaide won a game they could have lost had the Western Bulldogs kicked straight!
Pivotal Moment: Boyd Woodcock kicked his first goal of his AFL career in his first game. His youthful exuberance helped Port Adelaide weather the storm, as the Western Bulldogs outplayed Port Adelaide at times.

Tuesday Night Game

Richmond (82) v Brisbane Lions (41)
The Lions Lose the Game Due to Poor Goal Kicking!
Facts and Figures: Richmond had 22 scoring shots to Brisbane Lions 21 scoring shots. Richmond had six goal kickers to Richmond’s four.
Pivotal Moment: Eric Hipwood kicked a set shot from approximately 50 metres, which also happened to be the first goal of the game. Dustin Martin had a pivotal moment pretty much every time he touched the footy!

Facts and Figures: At quarter time it was two points all! Then there were eight goals kicked in the second quarter!
Pivotal Moments: Dylan Shiel kicked a long goal from inside the centre square, that was their fifth goal! Harry Himmelberg kicked an outstanding snap in the third quarter. Adam Saad kicked a long goal, but it was too late.
