Hamish Hartlett provided plenty of run out of defence for the Power, accumulating a lot of possessions. Dane Rampe helped curtail the influence of the Suns forward line. Daniel Rich was outstanding for the Lions. Sydney Stack was listed to start on a half back flank, but played forward, Stack was exceptional, kicking 4 goals. Cale Hooker played a good game for the Bombers, the centre half back pushed forward in the last quarter and kicked 2 goals. Lachie Plowman played a good game, Plowman helped stop Michael Walters from having an impact on the game.
Midfielders
Jack Billings continues to be prolific for the Saints, despite his team performing relatively poorly in the second half against the Tigers. Tim Kelly was an important part of the Cats claiming the four points against the Crows. Paul Seedsman kicked a couple of incredible goals for the Crows.
Forwards
Ed Curnow led from the front for the Blues, in the absence of Patrick Cripps. Jack Darling kicked five goals for the Eagles. Kane Lambert had a solid game for the Tigers. Marcus Bontempelli was an instrumental part of the Bulldogs claiming an upset win over the Power. Shaun Mckernan showed that he belongs in the Bombers best 22, with Mckernan playing exceptionally well as a forward/ruck. Roarke Smith helped the Bulldogs upset the Power.
Followers
Scott Lycett was exceptional for the second week in a row. Luke Parker was the best player on the ground in the game between the Swans and the Suns. Josh Kelly showed that he will be in the conversation when it comes to the 2019 All Australian team selection.
