Preview- Round Nine 2018 (AFL)
There are teams that need to show their supporters that they put in maximum effort; those clubs in particular are the Bombers, Suns and the Saints. The Tigers look like they are the team to beat, while the Eagles have been the surprise of the Season.
My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Swans
Crows v Bulldogs
The Crows have had a lot of injuries, while the Bulldogs have found some form winning their last three matches.
Key matchup: Richard Douglas v Jack Macrae
Crows Game Changer: Richard Douglas
Bulldogs Game Changer: Jack Macrae
My Prediction: Bulldogs
Kangaroos v Giants
The Kangaroos played well last week, nearly collecting the four points against the pace setters in the Tigers, while the Giants have been in poor form.
Key matchup: Ben Cunnington v Steven Coniglio
Kangaroos Game Changer: Todd Goldstein
Giants Game Changer: Lachie Whitfield
My Prediction: Kangaroos
Sun v Power
The Suns will be looking to bounce back following a one sided loss against the Demons. The Power had a narrow victory over the Crows in the showdown. I’m sensing an upset in this one.
Key matchup: Jarrod Witts v Patrick Ryder
Suns Game Changer: Jarrod Witts
Power Game Changer: Tom Rockliff
My Prediction: Suns
Bombers v Cats
The Bombers have been under pressure in the media due to poor performance and need to show a response this week. The Cats have won the last two games that they have played and will look to continue on their winning ways.
Key matchup: Matt Guelfi v Joel Selwood
Bombers Game Changer: David Zaharakis
Cats Game Changer: Sam Menegola
My Prediction: Cats
Swans v Dockers
The Swans will want to replicate their performance from last week. Although they managed well without Lance Franklin, he will be a welcome addition to the line-up. The Dockers will endeavour to cause an upset.
Key matchup: Luke Parker v Nat Fyfe
Swans Game Changer: Ben Ronke
Dockers Game Changer: Michael Walters
My Prediction: Swans
Saints v Magpies
This is a danger game for the Magpies, with the Saints having nothing to lose.
Key matchup: Jack Steven v Adam Treloar
Saints Game Changer: Jimmy Webster
Magpies Game Changer: Jack Crisp
My Prediction: Saints
Blues v Demons
The Blues had their first victory of the Season, while the Demons had a resounding victory over the Suns.
Key matchup: Patrick Cripps v Bernie Vince
Blues Game Changer: Patrick Cripps
Demons Game Changer: Michael Hibberd
My Prediction: Demons
Lions v Hawks
Both teams have a point to prove and are in need of collecting the four points on offer.
Key matchup: Stefan Martin v Ben Mcevoy
Lions Game Changer: Dayne Beams
Hawks Game Changer: Ricky Henderson
My Prediction: Hawks
Eagles v Tigers
This promises to be a fascinating game between the top two teams on the ladder.
Key matchup: Jack Darling v Nathan Broad
Eagles Game Changer: Andrew Gaff
Tigers Game Changer: Josh Caddy
My Prediction: Tigers
