Preview- Round Twenty-Seven 2018 (Hyundai A-League)
This Round of football promises to be an entertaining and attacking weekend of football. All of the five games could go either way. Every team has something to play for; the Wanderers, Roar and Glory are fighting for a top six spot, while the Mariners and Phoenix will be looking to avoid the wooden spoon! The top five teams will be attempting to get into form for the final series. Hopefully there are lots of goals and plenty of action!
Sky Blues v Victory Preview
The Sky Blues will endeavour to keep winning ahead of the finals and Victory is still a mathematical chance of finishing third on the ladder. I am expecting an attacking game as both teams will be eyeing the three points on offer.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Matt Simon
Victory Game Changer: Leroy George
My Prediction: Sky Blues
Phoenix v City Preview
The Phoenix is languishing on the bottom of the A-League ladder. City is sitting in third place. The Phoenix will be hungry to get a win on the board at home in order to avoid the wooden spoon. City will be aiming to cement third place. Hopefully there will be plenty of goals in this one.
Phoenix Game Changers: Matthew Ridenton
City Game Changer: Luke Brattan
My Prediction: Phoenix
Mariners v Jets Preview
It still remains a possibility that the Mariners will be last on the ladder and get the wooden spoon. The Jets have ensured that they will finish in second place. They haven’t had much to play for in recent times, but they are in need of a result so that they bring some form into the final series.
Mariners Game Changer: Andrew Hoole
Jets Game Changer: Dimitri Petratos
My Prediction: Jets
Glory v Roar Preview
This is a game that could decide sixth place on the A-League ladder and a coveted spot in the final series. Both teams will be chasing the three points on offer in order to give them a chance.
Glory Game Changer: Joseph Mills
Roar Game Changer: Jamie Young
My Prediction: Roar
Wanderers v Reds Preview
The Wanderers will be endeavouring to make sure that they have a top six finish. The Reds are all but ensured of finishing in fifth on the A-League ladder. It promises to be an open and entertaining contest.
