Preview- Round Twenty-Three 2018 (Hyundai A-League)
This Round of football promises to be an entertaining and attacking weekend of football. Three of the four games should be reasonably close. Unfortunately the Phoenix, Jets game could be one sided, however the game isn’t played on paper! Hopefully there are lots of goals and plenty of action!
Reds v City Preview
It’s sixth against third in this one. This game could play an important part in the make up of the top six. The Reds need the three points to work their way towards cementing themselves in the finals. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from a loss by collecting the three points on offer.
Reds Game Changer: Ben Garuccio
City Game Changer: Luke Brattan
My Prediction: Reds
Phoenix v Jets Preview
The Phoenix are languishing on the bottom of the A-League ladder. The Jets are sitting comfortably in second place. The Phoenix will be hungry to get a win on the board at home. Unfortunately for the Jets they will be without Captain Boogaard due to injury and one of their best players this Season, Nabbout, because he has explored an option to play overseas. With a bit of luck this game will be closer than it looks on paper.
Phoenix Game Changers: Matthew Ridenton
Jets Game Changer: Steven Ugarkovic
My Prediction: Jets
Sky Blues v Roar Preview
The Sky Blues are all but assured the Premiers Plate, while the Roar are four points away from a top six finish and finals football. This game should be an exciting one.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Brandon O’Neill
Roar Game Changer: Thomas Kristensen
My Prediction: Roar
Victory v Mariners Preview
The Victory are coming off an Asian Champions League game so they may be tired, whereas the Mariners are in desperate need of three points.
Victory Game Changer: James Troisi
Mariners Game Changer: Antony Golec
My Prediction: Mariners
