Ernie Merrick (Jets)- Once again the Jets managed to score at least a goal. Always plays an attacking style of play. Brought in two youngsters into the game; starting Champness and brining Shabow off the bench.

Round 5 Player of the Week

Raul Llorente (Wanderers)- Managed to set up one goal. Looked dangerous when on the ball. Found pockets of space and got into good positions. Showed great endeavour, putting in a solid shift.

Round 5 Team of the Week

Goal Keeper– Paul Izzo (Reds)- Kept his team in the game with some remarkable saves. Without a doubt a stand out for the Reds.

Left Back– Raul Llorente (Wanderers)- Like Brendan Hamill provided an option going forward and never took a backward step.

Left Centre Back– Antony Golec (Mariners)- Always shows great endeavour, but has the talent to match.

Right Centre Back– Alex Wilkinson (Sky Blues)- Never stopped working hard. Put in a fantastic shift that helped the Sky Blues claim three points in a physical derby.

Right Back– Jack Hingert (Roar)- Was responsible for many forays forward.

Left Centre Midfield– Wout Brama (Mariners)- Looked composed when on the ball. Was responsible for the Mariners keeping the ball.

Right Centre Midfield– Josh Brillante (Sky Blues)- His exquisite skill was on show once again. Can consider himself unlucky to miss out on the thirty man Socceroo squad.

Left Wing– Andrew Nabbout (Jets)- Is like a different player under the management of Ernie Merrick. Starting to fulfil his potential.

Right Wing– Joseph Champness (Jets)- A young talent that is capable of going far if he stays humble.

Left Sided Striker– Roy O’Donovan (Jets)- Has been the form player in the League this season. Clinical finishes on goal are indicative of his talent.

Right Sided Striker– Leroy George (Victory)- Put in a great shift once again. Had another involvement in a goal with a crucial assist.
