My Socceroos line up vs Honduras

Goalkeeper: Matt Ryan- Has established himself as the Socceroos number one goalie. Most importantly he is playing regular football in one of the toughest competitions in the world, the English Premier League.

Left Back: Aziz Behich-The best attacking left back in the country.

Left Centre Back: Matthew Jurman (Vice Captain)- Is playing in the K-League. Capable of playing in a back three. Will fit into the system that Postecoglou plays. Has played under Postecoglou at club level for the Brisbane Roar.

Right Centre Back: Trent Sainsbury- Has been a part of the Socceroos back three since Ange changed the system. Capable of adapting to the system employed by Postecoglou.

Right Back: Josh Risdon- The most industrious right back in the squad. Always puts in a good shift and has a high work rate.

Defensive Midfield– Mile Jedinak (Captain)- Playing in a tough league. His leadership will be important in the Socceroos quest to qualify for the World Cup.

Left Sided midfielder: Aaron Mooy- Has been playing regularly in the Premier League. A proven playmaker. Needs players around him to do the defensive work.

Right Sided Midfielder: Jackson Irvine- Always plays his role when give an opportunity to have game time with the Socceroos.

Attacking midfielder: James Troisi- Showed his class with a sublime finish against Chile. Always looks dangerous in the final third when given an opportunity.

Right Sided Striker: Robbie Kruse- Needs more opportunity in the final third

Left Sided Striker: Tomi Juric- Another player in the Socceroos team who is playing in a top league; he plies his trade in Switzerland. The only genuine striker in the squad. Needs to become a more consistent goal scorer to cement his spot in the Socceroos starting line up.

Bench: Nikita Rukavytsya- Will provide much needed speed for the Socceroos.

Bench: Massimo Luongo- Capable of playing a role off the bench in the middle of the park, when fatigue will become a factor. Needs to get back to the form he showed in the Asian Cup.

Bench: Tim Cahill- Always makes something happen. Can play a role off the bench. Shouldn’t be given more than five minutes due to injury.
