Left Back– Ben Garuccio (Reds)- Made many incursions into the opposition half. Showed great endeavour with his tenacity and his work rate.
Left Centre Back– Iacopo La Rocca (City)- Never stopped working hard. Put in a fantastic shift that helped City claim three points in a physical derby.
Right Centre Back– Jordan Elsey (Reds)- An underrated player. Found his way in the starting line up with Regan getting injured and didn’t disappoint.
Right Back– Josh Risdon (WSW)- Substantiated why he could be regarded as the best attacking right back in the country.
Defensive Midfield– Michael Jakobsen (City)- Showed his leadership working hard to prevent many Victory raids forward.
Left Centre Midfield– Daniel De Silva- His exquisite skill was rewarded with a goal. His performance showed why people are touting him as a possible Socceroo.
Right Centre Midfield– Roly Bonevacia (WSW)- Put in a good shift, managing to win a penalty and finish off his hard work with a clinical finish.
Attacking Midfield– Milos Ninkovic (Sky Blues)- Showed sublime skill. Was a joy to watch; worth the price of admission.
Left Sided Striker– Bruce Kamau (City)- Managed to back up his brace in week one with a handy finish.
Central Striker– Bobo (Sky Blues)- His inclusion In the team of the week was a no brainer as he managed to finish with two goals.
