AFL- Round Seventeen Preview

Preview- Round Seventeen 2018 (AFL)

This round of football should be an exciting one, the first game should be a close contest between the Crows and the Cats and the rest of the games should be interesting too.

My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Saints

Crows v Cats

The Crows need to win every game to have an opportunity to feature in September, there first challenge is on Thursday night where they tackle the Cats at home.

Key matchup: Matt Crouch v Patrick Dangerfield

Crows Game Changer: Josh Jenkins

Cats Game Changer: Mitch Duncan

My Prediction: Cats

Saints v Blues

The Blues have to be competitive against the Saints as the Blues have been largely disappointing this season.

Key matchup: Sebastian Ross v Patrick Cripps

Saints Game Changer: David Armitage

Blues Game Changer: Charlie Curnow

My Prediction: Saints

Hawks v Lions

The Lions is a potential danger game for the Hawks, with the Lions comprehensively winning their last two games, but the Hawks should prevail.

Key matchup: James Frawley v Eric Hipwood

Hawks Game Changer: Tom Mitchell

Lions Game Changer: Stefan Martin

My Prediction: Hawks

Demons v Bulldogs

The Demons collected a much needed four points in round sixteen. If the Bulldogs can bring the intensity that they brought in the first half in round sixteen then this could an exciting contest.

Key matchup: Jordan Lewis v Jason Johannisen

Demons Game Changer: Angus Brayshaw

Bulldogs Game Changer: Toby Mclean

My Prediction: Bulldogs

Suns v Bombers

The Suns will see this one as a winnable game, but they will need to improve on their past few weeks if they can win this contest.

Key matchup: Jarrod Witts v Tom Belchambers

Suns Game Changer: David Swallow

Bombers Game Changer: Michael Hurley

My Prediction: Bombers

Giants v Tigers

The Giants were gallant in defeat in round sixteen, despite not leaving Perth with the four points, while the Tigers looked unstoppable against the Crows.

Key matchup: Steven Coniglio v Dustin Martin

Tigers Game Changer: Shane Edwards

My Prediction: Tigers

Magpies v Eagles

This match is a pivotal contest for both teams with the winner one step closer to featuring in September.

Key matchup: Jordan de Goey v Brad Sheppard

Magpies Game Changer: Scott Pendlebury

Eagles Game Changer: Scott Lycett

My Prediction: Eagles

Kangaroos v Swans

The Kangaroos will see this one as a winnable game as they need the four points if they are to play a part in September action.

Key matchup: Ben Cunnington v Luke Parker

Kangaroos Game Changer: Jack Ziebell

Swans Game Changer: Will Hayward

My Prediction: Kangaroos

Dockers v Power

The Dockers have probably been the most disappointing team in the last two weeks failing to be competitive, so the Power should pencil the four points in for this one.

Key matchup: Joel Hamling v Charlie Dixon

Dockers Game Changer: Lachie Neale

Power Game Changer: Tom Rockliff

My Prediction: Power
