Preview- Round Fifteen 2018 (AFL)
This round should be a fascinating one if last week is anything to go by; there was only a solitary one sided game out of the six games played in Round Fourteen. The Blues, Bulldogs and Bombers proved what a tight and tough competition that the AFL is.
My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Magpies
Tigers v Swans
It’s the battle between the top two teams in the competition in this one. This promises to be the game of the round.
Key matchup: Josh P. Kennedy v Trent Cotchin
Tigers Game Changer: Josh Caddy
Swans Game Changer: Luke Parker
My Prediction: Tigers
Bulldogs v Cats
The Bulldogs spirited performance last week against the Kangaroos makes this an interesting contest.
Key matchup: Marcus Bontempelli v Joel Selwood
Bulldogs Game Changer: Mitch Wallis
Cats Game Changer: Tim Kelly
My Prediction: Bulldogs
Blues v Power
The Blues will look to prove the form that displayed against the Magpies was the start of a positive trend not an aberration. If the Power is to feature in September then they need to win this one.
Key matchup: Liam Jones v Justin Westhoff
Blues Game Changer: Patrick Cripps
Power Game Changer: Tom Rockliff
My Prediction: Power
Crows v Eagles
Both these teams have been impacted by injury. This is a tough game to pick a winner in.
Key matchup: Bryce Gibbs v Elliot Yeo
Crows Game Changer: Matt Crouch
Eagles Game Changer: Scott Lycett
My Prediction: Eagles
Suns v Magpies
The Suns need to prove to their supporters that they can be competitive, while the Magpies will look to prove that they warrant a place in the top four.
Key matchup: Jarrod Witts v Brodie Grundy
Suns Game Changer: Aaron Young
Magpies Game Changer: Jordan De Goey
My Prediction: Magpies
Giants v Hawks
The Giants will look to continue their good form and challenge for a top eight spot, while the Hawks are also fighting for a finals position.
Key matchup: Dylan Shiel v Tom Mitchell
Giants Game Changer: Josh Kelly
Hawks Game Changer: Liam Shiels
My Prediction: Giants
Demons v Saints
The Saints will be full of confidence following a morale lifting comeback win against the Suns in Round Thirteen. The Demons need the four points to stay in contention for a finals spot.
Key matchup: Clayton Oliver v Sebastian Ross
Demons Game Changer: Tom Mcdonald
Saints Game Changer: Jack Sinclair
My Prediction: Saints
Bombers v Kangaroos
The Bombers will look to follow up their win on the road in Perth with another victory against a top eight hopeful in the Kangaroos.
Key matchup: Zach Merrett v Ben Jacobs
Bombers Game Changer: Zach Merrett
Kangaroos Game Changer: Jed Anderson
My Prediction: Kangaroos
Dockers v Lions
The Lions were impressive last week against the Giants and will be endeavouring to cause an upset against the Dockers.
Key matchup: Nathan Wilson v Eric Hipwood
Dockers Game Changer: Luke Ryan
Lions Game Changer: Luke Hodge
My Prediction: Lions
