AFL- Round Twelve Preview

Preview- Round Twelve 2018 (AFL)

Hopefully Round Twelve of the AFL is an exciting one and let’s hope we can get rid of the one sided games as the close contests are more intriguing! The Suns, Bombers and Lions in particular have a point to prove, while the Demons appear to be a contender.

My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Bombers

Byes: Blues, Bulldogs, Eagles, Hawks

Power v Tigers

The Power sit just inside the top eight, while the Tigers have been indestructible. The Tigers lost at Adelaide Oval in Round two this season so it could be an interesting contest.

Key matchup: Paddy Ryder v Toby Nankervis

Power Game Changer: Tom Rockliff

Tigers Game Changer: Shaun Grigg

My Prediction: Tigers

Cats v Kangaroos

Both teams will be full of confidence, as they had comprehensive victories last weekend. This should be an attacking game if last week is a guide.

Key matchup: Gary Ablett v Shaun Higgins

Cats Game Changer: Tom Hawkins

Kangaroos Game Changer: Shaun Higgins

My Prediction: Kangaroos

Giants v Suns

The Giants bounced back from their poor form last round, while the Suns are coming off two successive one sided losses.

Key matchup: Rory Lobb v Jarrod Witts

Giants Game Changer: Callan Ward

Suns Game Changer: Jack Martin

My Prediction: Giants

Saints v Swans

This is a danger games for the Swans as the Saints gave the league leaders; the Eagles, a fright last week with a solid fourth quarter. The Saints are a chance to win this contest.

Key matchup: Jack Steven v George Hewett

Saints Game Changer: Sebastian Ross

Swans Game Changer: Ben Ronke

My Prediction: Swans

Lions v Bombers

The Lions and Bombers both had disappointing performances last round, but a week is a long time in football, so there is an opportunity for them to bounce back this weekend.

Key matchup: Stefan Martin v Tom Bellchambers

Lions Game Changer: Eric Hipwood

Bombers Game Changer: Dyson Heppell

My Prediction: Bombers

Dockers v Crows

The Crows have been decimated by injury, while the Dockers will be without Nat Fyfe due to a suspension.

Key matchup: David Mundy v Matt Crouch

Dockers Game Changer: David Mundy

Crows Game Changer: Richard Douglas

My Prediction: Crows

Demons v Magpies

The Demons have had four successive comprehensive wins and are arguably the form team in the competition, while the Magpies had a one sided victory last round.

Key matchup: Max Gawn v Brodie Grundy

Demons Game Changer: Jordan Lewis

Magpies Game Changer: Jordan De Goey

My Prediction: Demons
