Round Seventeen Preview (Hyundai A-League)
Round Seventeen of the A-League season promises to be an entertaining one. In my opinion all five games should be close games on paper. It promises to be intriguing for the neutral and hopefully there will be plenty of goals in it!
Roar v Glory Preview
It’s ninth on the ladder against sixth in this one; both teams are in need of the three points on offer. Both sides have been struggling of late, the Roar have lost their last three games, while the Glory have lost their last four games. A draw isn’t good enough for either side.
Roar Game Changer: Jack Hingert
Glory Game Changer: Shane Lowry
My Prediction: Glory
Wanderers v Victory Preview
The Wanderers have only won two of their last five matches, whiles the Victory have won three of their last five games. It’s sixth on the ladder against fourth in this one, so this game should be a good spectacle for the impartial.
Wanderers Game Changer: Roly Bonevacia
Victory Game Changer: Mark Milligan
My Prediction: Wanderers
Jets v Phoenix Preview
The Jets have won their last two games in the A-League, while the Phoenix have taken four points out of a possible six points in their last two A-League fixtures.
Jets Game Changer: Jason Hoffman
Phoenix Game Changer: Matthew Ridenton
My Prediction: Jets
Sky Blues v Mariners Preview
The Sky Blues have lost just one game this A-League season and that loss was to the Mariners, while the Mariners are languishing in eighth spot on the A-League ladder. The Mariners need three points out of this game.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Adrian Mierzejewski
Mariners Game Changer: Antony Golec
My Prediction: Sky Blues
City v Reds Preview
This should be the game of the round; it’s third on the A-League ladder against fifth. Both Sides are pushing for a top four spot and a home final.
City Game Changer: Bart Schenkeveld
Reds Game Changer: Jordan Elsey
My Prediction: Reds
