Round 11 Manager of the Week

Josep Gombau (Wanderers) – The Wanderers bounced back from a five-nil hiding against the Sky Blues. Gombau made some changes to the starting line up; those changes paid dividends.

Round 11 Player of the Week

Leroy George (Victory) – Was the most influential player on the field in my opinion, he managed two assists and was probably the difference between the two sides.

Round 11 Team of the Week

Goal Keeper– Jamie Young (Roar) – Made many inspirational saves. Almost single handily brought the Roar back into the game.

Left Back– Connor O’Toole (Roar) – Could prove to be a break out game for him, was particularly influential when in possession.

Left Centre Back– Nigel Boogaard (Jets) – Played in my opinion the best game in the current A-League campaign.

Right Centre Back– Alex Wilkinson (Sky Blues) – Has to be knocking on the door for a Socceroos call up to provide cover in defence.

Right Back– Scott Galloway (Phoenix) – In my opinion he was a stand out for the Phoenix.

Right Wing– Adrian Mierzejewski (Sky Blues)-Scored a sublime goal from a free kick, was also involved in combinations managing to find pockets of space.

Left Centre Midfield– Dimitri Petratos (Jets) – Helped the Jets get back into the game and ultimately collect three points.

Centre Midfield– Keanu Baccus (Wanderers) – A young player who reads the game well and is a prodigious talent.

Right Centre Midfield– Josh Brillante (Sky Blues) – Hasn’t played a bad game this Season. Focussed and composed, he deserves accolades and recognition for his performances thus far.

Left Wing– Leroy George (Victory) – Provided with two assists for both Victory goals with two exquisite crosses.

Striker– Brendon Santalab (Wandereres) – Broke the deadlock with a clinical finish and managed to provide the assist for the second goal.
