Graham Arnold (Sky Blues)- The obvious choice. The Sky Blues dominated the derby from start to finish.
Round 10 Player of the Week
Adrian Mierzejewski (Sky Blues)- Showed his class with his exquisite touches. Thoroughly deserved to be the player of the week.
Round 10 Team of the Week
Goal Keeper– Jamie Young (Roar)- Was in my opinion the best player on the field. It’s his second consecutive clean sheet. Almost single handily responsible for the Roar collecting a point.
Left Back– Ivan Vujica (Jets)- Was in my opinion the best player on the field.
Left Centre Back– Antony Golec (Mariners)- Played a good game, despite his team losing. Passed the ball around well when the Mariners had possession.
Right Centre Back– Alex Wilkinson (Sky Blues)- Once again played a solid game. Showed great leadership.
Right Back– Luke Wilkshire (Sky Blues)- Worked hard with and without the ball.
Defensive Midfield– Isaias (Reds)- Led from the front.
Left Centre Midfield– Brandon O’Neill- Showed that he has an all-round game with an exquisite goal (Sky Blues)
Centre Midfield– Dimitri Petratos (Jets)- Helped the Jets get back into the game and ultimately collect three points.
Right Centre Midfield– Josh Brillante (Sky Blues)- Hasn’t played a bad game this Season. Focussed and composed, he deserves accolades and recognition for his performances thus far.
Attacking Midfield– Adrian Mierzejewski (Sky Blues)- Put in a fantastic shift. Managed to score a brace.
Striker– George Blackwood (Reds)- Scored what proved to be the winning goal in a tight contest.
