Round 8 Manager of the Week
Ernie Merrick (Jets)- Credit goes to Laurie Mckinna for choosing him as a coach. In my opinion he is the best coach available to manage a side in tournament football, because he employs an attacking style of game. Therefore, he has to be a contender for the vacant Socceroos coaching job.
Round 8 Player of the Week
Dimitri Petratos (Jets)- Managed to set up two of the Jets four goals. Was unlucky not to score with a thunderous strike from outside the box that clattered into the bar.
Round 8 Team of the Week
Goal Keeper– Andrew Redmayne (Sky Blues)- Played a solid game.
Left Back– Ivan Vujica (Jets)- Played his role for the team.
Left Centre Back– Alex Wilkinson (Sky Blues)- Can’t recall him making an error.
Right Centre Back– Jordy Buijs (Sky Blues)- Played a good game. Even managed an assist.
Right Back– Sebastian Ryall (Sky Blues)- Was rewarded with his hard with a goal.
Left Centre Midfield– Dimitri Petratos (Jets)- Was the best player on the field in my opinion with two assists.
Right Centre Midfield– Josh Brillante (Sky Blues)- Probably the form player in the A-League.
Left Wing-Ryan Kitto (Reds)- Had his best game for the club with a well deserved brace.
Attacking Midfield– Daniel De Silva (Mariners)- Played his best game for the club.
Right Wing-Andrew Hoole (Mariners)- Had in my opinion his best game in the A-League.
Striker– Andrew Nabbout (Jets)- Played as a striker with O’Donovan missing through injury. Managed to score two crucial goals.
