My Socceroos line up vs Honduras
Goalkeeper: Matt Ryan- No one else has put their hand up to replace him. Will need to be on his game to prevent Honduras from scoring a crucial away goal.
Left Back: Aziz Behich-The best attacking left back in the country.
Left Centre Back: Matthew Jurman- Played an important role in the first leg. Has been a revelation since he got an opportunity at international level.
Right Centre Back: Trent Sainsbury- Always composed and confident.
Right Back: Josh Risdon- Got into good positions; found pockets of space and gained possession in the right channels. Unlucky not to have an assist to his name in the first leg.
Left Sided Defensive Midfield– Mile Jedinak (Captain)- Didn’t miss a beat in the away leg.
Right Sided Defensive Midfielder: Mark Milligan (Vice Captain)- Always plays his role, whether called upon in defence or midfield. Will provide some much needed leadership. The Socceroos should play with two holding midfielders if they choose to go with two attacking wing backs in order to prevent Honduras scoring a crucial away goal.
Right Sided Midfielder: Matthew Leckie- A key player that has been instrumental in everything the Socceroos have done in the qualification games for the Russia World Cup.
Centre Midfielder: Aaron Mooy- Looks comfortable on the ball whenever he gets possession when playing for the Socceroos.
Left Sided Midfielder: James Troisi- Looks dangerous in the final third whenever he gets the opportunity.
Striker: Tim Cahill- Always puts in a good shift.
Bench: Tomi Juric- Honduras will expect him to start after putting in a solid shift in the away leg. Will look to rectify the goal he missed from the first leg by getting on the scoreboard.
Bench: Robbie Kruse- Capable of creating opportunities. Will provide much needed fresh legs for the Socceroos.
Bench: Tom Rogic- Capable of making an impact off the bench.
Socceroos Game Changer: Matthew Leckie
