Average Winning Margin: 10.33 points per game, which indicates there were extremely close games. The final game of the round between North Melbourne and Brisbane Lions who had a draw. It’s the closest AFL round of all time.

Average Winning Margin: 33.89 points per game, which indicates that there were relatively one-sided games. Despite that, surprisingly there were four games had a margin of six points or less, including a draw.

AFL Round 9 Review (Season 2023)

Average Score: 84 points per team, which is fairly low, when taking into account seven out of 18 teams scored 102 points or more.
Average Winning Margin: 48.22 points per game, which indicates there were relatively one-sided games. Despite that, three games had a margin of 23 points or less.
