Goals Scored: 37 goals in 13 matches.
Draws: Four in 13 matches. Two out of them were scoreless.
Possession: In three out of nine matches where a team claimed three points, the winning team had less possession than their opponent.
Teams that played twice: AFC Bournemouth, Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley, Chelsea, Leeds United, Manchester City

Points of Interest

AFC Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League games, with six wins and seven draws.

Chelsea haven’t scored in five successive games; Longest Premier League goal drought. They’ve failed to score in 476 minutes.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are now officially relegated, as it is mathematically impossible for them to avoid relegation.

Manchester City are on top of the Premier League table for the first time in 200 days!

Highlights

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) scored a brace against Sunderland. The game ebbed and flowed; at one stage Villa led 3-1, only for Sunderland to make it 3-3. The game went down to the wire, with Villa substitute Tammy Abraham scoring the winning goal in the 93rd minute.

Virgil van Dijk scored the winning goal for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, scoring in the 100th minute that gave them a 2-1 win over a gallant Everton.

Sean Longstaff salvaged a point for Leeds United, with a goal in the 97th minute against AFC Bournemouth.

Goals Scored: There were 17 goals in six matches.
Clean Sheets: Three out of 12 teams that played kept a clean sheet.
Draws: There were two draws in six matches.
Possession: In three out of four matches where a team claimed three points, the winning team had less possession than their opponent.

Points of Interest

Newcastle Jets have won the Premier’s Plate for the first time in their history.

Western Sydney Wanderers have officially secured the A-League wooden spoon for the first time in their history.

Sam Cosgrove (Auckland FC) leads the Golden Boot race, with 11, which is one goal more than Ifeanyi Eze (Wellington Phoenix) has scored.

Highlights

Youstin Salas (Brisbane Roar) scored his first goal in the A-League with a cracking strike from outside the box in second half stoppage time against Melbourne City.

Anselmo (Adelaide United) came off the bench and scored a brace in a comeback win against Macarthur FC.

Central Coast Mariners had an upset win over Auckland FC, with the only goal of the game scored by Ali Auglah.
