My Favourite 50 AFL Players- Season 2022 (30-21)

30- Hugh McCluggage (Brisbane Lions)

McCluggage polled the second most votes of any Lions player in the Brownlow Medal in Season 2022, as he polled 14 votes.

29- Jy Simpkin (North Melbourne Kangaroos)

Simpkin won the Best and Fairest for the Kangaroos in Season 2022. He averaged 26.62 disposals per game, which was the most of any Kangaroos player, featuring in 21 of 22 games.

28- Callum Mills (Sydney Swans)

Mills was selected on the wing in the AFL All-Australian Team in Season 2022. He polled the seventh most votes of any player in the AFL, as he finished with 21 votes.

27- Tom Stewart (Geelong Cats)

Tom Stewart was outstanding for the Cats in Season 2022. Despite missing four games through suspension and one game due to illness he was selected in the back pocket of the AFL All-Australian Team in Season 2022.

26- Lachie Neale (Brisbane Lions)

Neale polled 28 votes for the AFL Brownlow Medal. He was the best player for the Lions in Season 2022, by a fair way, he was outstanding in the two finals that the Lions won.

25- Reilly O’Brien (Adelaide Crows)

Reilly O’Brien was left out of the team for two games by the Crows and responded well to it. He averaged the second most hit-outs of any player in the AFL on average with an average of 36.95 hit-outs per game in the 20 games that he featured in.

24- Connor Rozee (Port Adelaide Power)

Rozee polled the second most votes of any player for the Power as he finished the Brownlow Medal with 14 votes. He was selected on the interchange bench in the AFL All-Australian Team in Season 2022.

23- Clayton Oliver (Melbourne Demons)

Clayton Oliver was an important player for the Demons in Season 2022; polled the equal fourth most votes of any player in the Brownlow medal as he finished with 25 votes. He was selected in the midfield of the AFL All-Australian Team in Season 2022.

22- Tom J. Lynch (Richmond Tigers)

Tom J. Lynch of the Tigers averaged the most goals of any player in the game as he finished with 3.32 goals per game in 19 games. He won the Tigers Best and Fairest, despite missing four games.

21- Jack Crisp (Collingwood Magpies)

Crisp was deservedly named in the AFL All-Australian squad of 44 in Season 2022. He polled the equal most votes of any Magpies player at the Brownlow Medal, in Season 2022, with 11 votes.
