My Favourite 50 AFL Players- Season 2021 (10-1)

10- Josh Kelly (GWS Giants)

Kelly was an imperative part of the Giants team and he was rewarded with a long term contract.

9- Reilly O’Brien (Adelaide Crows)

O’Brien was arguably one of the top ruckmen in the competition.

8- Jack Macrae (Western Bulldogs)

Macrae was extremely consistent. It’s difficult to find a game that he didn’t contribute well.

7- Darcy Parish (Essendon)

Parish had an outstanding season in 2021. He was arguably the most improved player in the competition. He was a player that Essendon relied on. There’s no doubt that he was sensational with regards to his consistency!

6- Jordan Dawson (Sydney Swans)

Dawson proved that he is a player capable of playing different roles well for the Swans in season 2021.

5- Sam Taylor (GWS Giants)

Taylor should’ve featured in the AFL All Australian squad of 40. He never shirked a contest in season 2021 and was a great asset for the Giants to have as a part of their defence.

4- Jarryd Lyons (Brisbane Lions)

Lyons was a standout for the Lions! He showed that the Giants made a mistake in not keeping him at their football club.

3- Rory Laird (Adelaide Crows)

Laird was an important part of the Crows midfield. He was forced to change positions from being a half back flanker to a midfielder, due to an injury to Matt Crouch. It turned out a good move as Laird was a revelation in the midfield.

2- Harry McKay (Carlton)

McKay had a superb season in 2021 as he won the Coleman Medal, despite the fact that he missed the last two games of the season through injury. Along with that, was named in the All Australian team.

1- Sam Walsh (Carlton)

Walsh was selected on the wing in the AFL All Australian team in season 2021!
