A-League Restart- Week 1 (In a Nutshell): There was some good football played in 2 of the 3 games; the Friday night and Sunday night games are positive signs for the future of Australian football!

Facts and Figures: The intensity that the game was played at was of a high standard. Trent Buhagiar scored a brace to make it 3-1.
Pivotal Moments: Stefan Marinovic did brilliantly to save a long shot from Luke Brattan in the 15th minute. Rene Piscopo took a superb penalty to make it 1-nil in Wellington’s favour. Adam le Fondre made it 1-all with a penalty for Sydney FC.

Facts and Figures: The game was a slow tempo from both teams early in the game. The Perth Glory controlled the balance of play early on. Both of Tony Popovic’s sons were in the Perth Glory starting line up. Jordan Murray got injured. Neil Kilkenny and Mark Birghitti were the respective Captains.
Pivotal Moment: Dane Ingham scored a fantastic goal to break the deadlock in the 32nd minute.

Reds Survive and Claim 3 Points!
Facts and Figures: The game was played at a high tempo. The game ebbed and flowed as far as the balance of play was concerned.
Pivotal Moments: Ryan Strain provided an exquisite cross that Kristian Opseth headered into the goal in the 6th minute. Jay O’Shea had a freekick well saved by Paul Izzo in the 40th minute. Tom Aldred missed an opportunity to score in the 78th minute.
