The A-League is Back! (Week 1 Preview)

A-League 2019/20- (Week 1 of Restart)- My Preview

The A-League has been postponed, but its back, albeit in empty stadiums. It’s still great to have football back, in Australia! All 3 Melbourne based teams won’t be playing until Saturday the 25th of July. “Melbourne teams in lockdown after Victory player’s virus scare.” Regardless, Week 1 of the restart should be entertaining!

My Choice of a definite winner for this period of time: Perth Glory v Central Coast Mariners (Central Coast Mariners)

Toughest game to pick a winner in: Sydney FC v Wellington Phoenix (Wellington Phoenix)

Friday Night Game

Sydney FC v Wellington Phoenix
This is a must watch game. Wherever you may live and even if you don’t like football. It’s 1st on the A-League ladder against 3rd on the A-League ladder. Expect free flowing football from both teams. It could even be the game of the 2019/20 Season. It’s great that the opening game of Week 1 of the Restart is a cracking contest, between 2 teams that play good football. Expect an upset to occur!
Sydney FC Game Changer: Luke Brattan
Wellington Phoenix Game Changer: Liberato Cacace
My Prediction: Wellington Phoenix

Saturday Evening Game

Perth Glory v Central Coast Mariners
It’s going to be interesting to see how this game goes; it’s between Perth Glory who are 5th on the A-League ladder and the Central Coast Mariners who are at the bottom of the ladder. Perth Glory are missing their best player and possibly the A-League’s best player; Diego Castro. That’s why the Central Coast Mariners should seize the opportunity and get one step closer to avoiding the wooden spoon!
Perth Glory Game Changer: James Meredith
Central Coast Mariners Game Changer: Jordan Murray
My Prediction: Central Coast Mariners

Sunday Night Game

Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United
It’s 4th against 7th on the A-League ladder; this game could be a deciding factor as to who makes the finals. Adelaide United will be hungry to win this game. It will be interesting to see how the Brisbane Roar go without their Coach up until now in Robbie Fowler. He has opted to stay in England for the remainder of the A-League Season. Adelaide United will also have a new Coach; Carl Veart.
Brisbane Roar Game Changer: Corey Brown
Adelaide United Game Changer: Stefan Mauk
My Prediction: Adelaide United
