Premier League- Player Pecking Order (Part 2)

The Top 5 Players Based on Ability in Each Team (2019/20- Part 2)

I have devised a Premier League Pecking Order for every team in the Premier League divided into ten parts with two teams per part. The ability of each team’s top 5 players with the parts been done in alphabetical order, with regards to the team’s names. To be eligible to be a part of the Premier League Pecking Order a player must have been part of a Premier League team as of January 1, 2020. It was formulated up until March 10, which was the last Premier League fixture prior to postponement. There are 5 players that have been selected based on their ability. The 2nd part comprises of Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Aston Villa

5- John McGinn should have been a constant in the centre of midfield for Aston Villa. McGinn scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists. He was in the starting line up for Aston Villa for the 1st 17 games of the Premier League 2019/20 Season.
4- Wesley is a Striker that has plenty of ability. Despite suffering a knee injury and missing the last 7 games of the Season as it stands Wesley was an asset to Aston Villa when fit and available. He scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist.
3- Anwar El Ghazi is an adaptable player that can play in the midfield or up front. El Ghazi has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists.
2- Jack Grealish has scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists as it stands in Premier League Season 2019/20. Grealish is Captain of Aston Villa and is a versatile player. He can play in the midfield or as a striker.
1- Aston Villa goalkeeper, Tom Heaton missed the final 7 games of the Season as it stands due to a knee injury. Heaton has made 67 saves in 21 games, 3 less than arguably the best goalkeeper this Season as it stands in Dean Henderson who is at Sheffield United on loan this Season from Manchester United. It’s not Heaton’s fault that Aston Villa sit 2nd last on the Premier League table as it stands and appear destined to be relegated.

Brighton and Hove Albion

5- Aaron Mooy works tirelessly in the middle of the park. Mooy never shirks a contest. He may not be the most talented player at Brighton but his endeavour he shows is admirable; “Brighton would probably be in the relegation zone without Aaron Mooy in the team;” https://doransport.com/2020/05/18/premier-league-jigsaw-puzzle/
4- Adam Webster plays in the centre of defence. Webster hasn’t played every game in the Premier League 2019/20 Season, but has made up for it. He has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist. The team has kept 3 clean sheets with him in the team.
3- Lewis Dunk is Captain of Brighton and has been pivotal in Brighton currently being out of the relegation zone. Brighton are 15th on the Premier League table as it stands. Dunk has 2 goals and 3 assists, which indicates he can be damaging in the forward half, despite his main role being a defender.
2- Leandro Trossard has made a solid contribution for Brighton with 3 goals and 5 assists. Trossard generally plays in the midfield, but has the capacity to be damaging in the final 3rd.
1- Neal Maupay has been in descent form for Brighton scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists. Maupay plays as a striker and performs his role extremely well in the final 3rd. He has only missed 1 game in the Premier League 2019/20 Season as it starts.
