Central Coast Mariners (My Top 5 Favourite Players)
5- Jordan Murray (Striker)
Jordan Murray is a fairly good player; Murray just has to be more consistent with regards to taking the chances that he gets to score in the final third. He scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in the 17 games he has been a part of in the A-League 2019/20 Season, for the Mariners.
4- Gianni Stensness (Central Midfielder)
Gianni Stensness is a quality player for the Central Coast Mariners; he was in the starting line up for 21 of the 22 games that the Mariners have played in thus far in the A-League 2019/20 Season. Stensness has plenty of talent; it’s up to him whether he fulfills his potential.
3- Milan Djuric (Midfielder)
Milan Djuric is a quality player; Djuric featured in 19 of the Central Coast Mariners 22 games, 4 of the 19 were as a substitute though. He managed to score 4 goals and provide 1 assist. Hopefully, Djuric stays as the Mariners as he is arguably their most important player.
2- Michael McGlinchey (Midfielder)
Michael McGlinchey may be 33 years of age, but I still believe that he has plenty to offer at A-League level for at least a couple more years. McGlinchey is a quality person and would make a great leader, ie Captain or Vice-Captain. The Central Coast Mariners look a better player with McGlinchey playing; even if he merely plays as an impact player on the substitute bench.
1- Ruon Tongyik (Centre Back)
The Central Coast Mariners look a better team with central defender Ruon Tongyik in the team. Tongyik may only have started 6 of the Mariners games, but he always had an impact with his endeavour to be the best player he could be never wavering. He did play 3 games as a substitute as well, scoring a cracking goal in his 1st appearance for the Mariners. I have always believed that Tongyik is quality player.
Melbourne City (My Top 5 Favourite Players)
5- Harrison Delbridge (Centre Back)
Harrison Delbridge is a player that has the potential to play for the Socceroos and go overseas to a top European club. Delbridge needs to be slightly more consistent and show the same level of endeavour to the talent that he possesses.
4- Craig Noone (Wing/Forward)
Craig Noone is a player that always keeps feet on the ground, first and foremost. Noone has been a pivotal part of the Melbourne City squad scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists.
3- Scott Galloway (Right Back)
Scott Galloway has started 12 games out of Melbourne City’s 23 games thus far in the A-League 2019/20 Season. Galloway is a quality defender that should be in the starting line up whenever fit to play, as he is a good character and a extremely capable player.
2- Josh Brillante (Centre Midfield)
Josh Brillante plays his role for the team, however, all he needs to do is believe in himself so he can play to his optimum level. He has the potential to go to Europe as he is a quality character and a consistent performer. He scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists; that’s the area he needs to be more prominent in if he is able to fulfill his potential.
1- Jamie Maclaren (Striker)
Jamie Maclaren is probably my favourite player in the A-League, as I’ve always believed that Maclaren would fulfill his talent, given the opportunity. He has fulfilled his capability to score goals as he is currently the top scorer for the entire A-League in the 2019/20 Season with 18 goals. He has also provided 4 assists, which shows that he isn’t one dimensional as a footballer.
