A-League My Top 5 Favourite Players for Each Team (Season 2019-20- Part 1)

Adelaide United (My Top 5 Favourite Players)

5- Michael Jakobsen (Centre Back)

Michael Jakobsen is possibly the best Captain in the A-League as he always appears to be calm and composed. Jakobsen has featured in all 21 games of the A-League 2019/20 Season. His positive demeanour and attitude is a credit to the Adelaide United football club.

4- Stefan Mauk (Centre Midfield)

Stefan Mauk has plenty of potential and was yet another astute signing by Adelaide United. Mauk just needs a bit of confidence and he can reach his potential.

3- Riley McGree (Centre Midfield)

Riley McGree was an astute signing as he has scored 10 goals and has 5 assists. McGree was clinical in the final third and without doubt Adelaide United’s most important player this Season.

2- Ryan Strain (Right Back)

I like the manner in which Ryan Strain goes about his football playing at right back. Strain has featured in 17 of the 21 games that Adelaide United have played in the A-League 2019/20 Season.

1- George Blackwood (Striker)

George Blackwood has plenty of potential predominantly playing as a striker, although Blackwood did show his versatility playing in the centre of midfield at times. Blackwood currently has 4 goals and 1 assist.

Brisbane Roar (Top 5 Favourite Players)

5- Jack Hingert (Right Wing)

Jack Hingert is a player that started his career as a right back, but has played in the midfield on the right wing in the A-League 2019/20 Season. Hingert has to improve to reach his potential, but I’m confident he will do so.

4- Aiden O’Neill (Centre Midfield)

Aiden O’Neill has the capability to go overseas is he can play at his optimum level. O’Neill has shown that he is capable of being a good player for the Brisbane Roar and then hopefully go overseas, if he can reach his potential.

3- Dylan Wenzel-Halls (Striker)

Dylan Wenzel-Halls is a player that has plenty of potential, despite the fact that he has only managed to score 1 goal in the 2019/20 Season. He has only started 6 of the Brisbane Roar’s 22 games, but I still believe his talent will shine through, eventually.

2- Bradden Inman (Striker)

Bradden Inman has 4 goals and 4 assists in the 21 games that he has featured in for the A-League 2019/20 Season. Inman is a quality player with plenty of ability.

1- Jamie Young (Goalkeeper)

Jamie Young is a quality goalkeeper, yet Young had to sit on the bench for 6 of the 22 games the Brisbane Roar have played in. His inclusion into the starting line up had a strong correlation with the Brisbane Roar moving up the A-League ladder.
