A-League 2019/20- Round 12 My Preview

Once again, like Round 11 of the A-League, it’s extremely tough to predict the results as the games appear to be even, in Round 12, on paper that is, but football isn’t played on paper! There is a game involving the bottom 2 teams on the ladder and another one that is between the top 2 teams on the ladder; expect plenty of enthralling football from a viewers perspective in Round 12.

Team with Round 12 Bye: Melbourne Victory

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Western Sydney Wanderers

Friday Night Game

Adelaide United v Western Sydney Wanderers
This should be a good game of football as it’s 5th on the A-League ladder up against 8th on the ladder. Expect the Western Sydney Wanderers to claim the three points on offer.
Western Sydney Wanderers sit outside of the top 6. Western United, on the other hand are currently 3rd on the ladder so I expect Western United to be too good for the Wanderers.
Adelaide United Game Changer: George Blackwood
Western Sydney Wanderers Game Changer: Kwame Yeboah
My Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers

Saturday Night Games

Western United v Wellington Phoenix
Western United sit 3rd on the A-League ladder this season, despite the fact that it’s their 1st Season in the A-League, while Wellington Phoenix are tough to beat, at least on paper as they sit in the top 6.
Western United Game Changer: Aaron Calver
Wellington Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
My Prediction: Wellington Phoenix

Newcastle Jets v Brisbane Roar
Both teams are in need of a win as they sit last and 2nd last respectively on the A-League ladder.
Newcastle Jets Game Changer: Matthew Ridenton
Brisbane Roar Game Changer: Stefan Mauk
My Prediction: Newcastle Jets

Sunday Night Game

Sydney FC v Melbourne City
It’s 1st against 2nd in this fascinating clash; there is plenty at stake for both teams as far as bragging rights are concerned. Expect this game to be an exciting one to watch. As a side note expect Josh Brillante to have plenty of knowledge of the Sydney FC game plan and for that to play a part in the result of the game; there is no doubt that Brillante’s knowledge of Sydney FC coach, Steve Corica’s tactics to play a part.
Sydney FC Game Changer: Andrew Redmayne
Melbourne City Game Changer: Jamie Maclaren
My Prediction: Melbourne City

Tuesday Night Game

Central Coast Mariners v Perth Glory
Both of these teams are coming off a win, with the Perth Glory appearing to be the better of the 2 teams, at least on paper.
Central Coast Mariners Game Changer: Tommy Oar
Perth Glory Game Changer: James Meredith
My Prediction: Perth Glory
