Goalkeeper
Filip Kurto (Goalkeeper- Western United)- The reason why Western United won can be attributed to the impressive display of Filip Kurto, who made some crucial saves.
Defenders
Liberato Cacace (Left Back- Wellington Phoenix)- It was a typical Liberato Cacace performance; Cacace was prolific and a key cog in the Wellington Phoenix line up.
Tomislav Mrcela (Centre Back- Perth Glory)- Tomislav Mrcela proved that he could be a permanent part of the Perth Glory line up with a quality display, Mrcela scored the all important third goal of the game; they say 2-nil is a dangerous score line.Aaron Calver (Centre Back- Western United)- Aaron Calver proved why he should be a definite starter in the Western United line up every week with a solid display.
Rhyan Grant (Right Back- Sydney FC)- Rhyan Grant had a good game in what was probably the best performance of any team by Sydney FC, partly due to the attacking manner in which Rhyan Grant plays.
Midfielders
James Troisi (Centre Midfield- Adelaide United)- James Troisi justified Adelaide United’s decision to recruit him with what proved to be the decisive match winning goal.
Neil Kilkenny (Centre Midfield- Perth Glory)- Neil Kilkenny was prolific for the Perth Glory, Kilkenny played a pivotal role for the Glory in the middle of the park.
Alexander Baumjohann (Attacking Midfield- Sydney FC)- Alexander Baumjohann probably played his best game as a Sydney FC player, he was instrumental in Sydney FC crushing win over the Brisbane Roar.
Striker
Besart Berisha (Striker- Western United)- Besart Berisha scored a brace in Western United’s 3-1 win over Melbourne Victory.
Chris Ikonomidis (Striker- Perth Glory)- Chris Ikonomidis was arguably the best player on the park in Perth Glory’s game against Melbourne City.
