A-League 2019/20- Round 8 My Preview

A-League 2019/20- Round 8 My Preview

In the first 7 Rounds of the A-League Season the football that has been played has been of a reasonable standard; there isn’t much separating the 11 A-League teams. There have been just 5 games with a margin of more than 1 goal separating the 2 teams, out of the first 34 games of the current A-League Season. Find out why the 5 games that Round 8 comprises of should be good to watch.

Team with Round 8 Bye: Melbourne City

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Melbourne Victory

Friday Night Game

Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory
Both of these teams are in need of the 3 points as they sit in 10th and 7th place respectively on the A-League ladder. Expect Melbourne Victory in particular to be hungry to prove the doubters wrong.
Melbourne Victory Game Changer: Migjen Basha
Perth Glory Game Changer: Alex Grant
My Prediction: Melbourne Victory

Saturday Evening Game

Brisbane Roar v Central Coast Mariners
This is a tough game to pick a winner in, but I’m leaning towards the Central Coast Mariners as they had a character building win in Round 7 against Western United.
Brisbane Roar Game Changer: Aiden O’Neill
Central Coast Mariners Game Changer: Ziggy Gordon
My Prediction: Central Coast Mariners

Saturday Night Game

Newcastle Jets v Western Sydney Wanderers
It’s going to be an enthralling game to watch; I expect this game to be extremely attacking.
Newcastle Jets Game Changer: Dimitri Petratos
Western Sydney Wanderers Game Changer: Kwame Yeboah
My Prediction: Newcastle Jets

Sunday Afternoon Game

Western United v Sydney FC
Sydney FC are 2nd on the A-League ladder, but they have an opportunity to move into 1st place if they can claim a win over Western United, which I think should happen, as Western United haven’t scored in their last 2 A-League games.
Western United Game Changer: Josh Risdon
Sydney FC Game Changer: Adam Le Fondre
My Prediction: Sydney FC

Sunday Evening Game

Adelaide United v Wellington Phoenix
If both teams played the way they did in Round 7 then this should be an entertaining contest to watch. Wellington Phoenix should gain plenty of confidence from having claimed their first win of the Season in Round 7 and therefore I am expecting an upset victory for them in this one.
Adelaide United Game Changer: George Blackwood
Wellington Phoenix Game Changer: Liberato Cacace
My Prediction: Wellington Phoenix
