The opening Round of the A-League promises to be a captivating one, with all of the games being played featuring teams that are similar in ability. This is a pivotal season for the A-League as the game needs to grow in order for it to capitalise on its potential and the only way that can happen is if attacking football is played from Round 1 of the Season, in order to be more exciting to watch. This should be the start of an unpredictable Season!

Unfortunately for Melbourne City, Striker, Jamie Maclaren is unavailable for selection as he is in the Socceroos squad for their World Cup qualifier. I expect Melbourne City to be impacted by Maclaren not being available to play in this Derby.
