A-League Semi Finals My Preview
The A-League Semi Finals should be entertaining and it’s not easy to pick a winner in either as the 2 games feature teams that are evenly matched. Hopefully both games are entertaining as the A-League needs a strong finish to the season to really make an impact in the Australian sporting market; hopefully there are close games and no one sided contests in the A-League final series. The second weekend of the final series, which will determine whether teams, coaches and players have been successful this A-League season, with all 4 teams left a possibility to win the A-League.
Friday May 10th
Glory v Reds
This game features 2 teams with differing preparation; the Glory have had a week off while the Reds played a 120 minutes last Sunday. Time will tell if Reds coach Marco Kurz chooses to change some of his fatigued players with other players in the squad; I expect Ryan Strain and Jordan Elsey to play a part for the Reds. It will be intriguing to see who is victorious and which coach implements better tactics in a match between 2 good coaches.
Glory Game Changer: Diego Castro
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
My Prediction: Reds
Sunday May 12th
Sky Blues v Victory
This should be a highly entertaining contest between 2 teams that will be desperate to win the Semi Final and make it to the Grand Final. The 2 teams had differing preparations with the Sky Blues deciding not to rest their players in Tuesday’s Asian Champions League game, while the Victory chose to rest the majority of their players in Wednesday’s Asian Champions League game. The Sky Blues could suffer fatigue or they may thrive in playing 2 games in a week.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Andrew Redmayne
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
My Prediction: Victory
