A-League Elimination Finals My Preview
The A-League Elimination Finals should be entertaining and it’s difficult to pick a winner in either game as the 2 games feature teams that are evenly matched. Hopefully both games are entertaining as the A-League needs a strong finish to the season to really make an impact in the Australian sporting market; hopefully there are close games and no one sided contests in the A-League final series. The first weekend of the final series, which will determine whether teams, coaches and players have been successful this A-League season, with all 6 teams left a possibility to win the A-League.
Friday May 3rd
Victory v Phoenix
This game features 2 teams that have been evenly matched in terms of the games that they have played against each other this season. The Phoenix players who have their contracts expiring aren’t only playing to possibly win the A-League this season, but must prove to whoever the Phoenix new coach is that they warrant a new contract. It’s going to an entertaining contest, well it should be anyway! Hopefully this game is as exciting as when the teams drew in Melbourne earlier this year and both teams play with the desperation that an Elimination Final warrants.
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
Phoenix Game Changer: Alex Rufer
My Prediction: Phoenix
Sunday May 5th
Reds v City
This should be a highly entertaining contest between 2 teams that will be desperate to win the Elimination Final and get further into the final series. The Reds players will have a point to prove with Marco Kurz parting ways with the Reds at the completion of the Reds season. The Reds players who are out of contract will want to prove that they warrant a new contract, to whoever the new coach who is appointed is.
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
City Game Changer: Shayon Harrison
My Prediction: Reds
