Premier League Game Week 33 My Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)

The race for spots in the top half of the Premier League table is well and truly alive. Liverpool are fighting it out with Manchester City for the Premier League title. It’s extremely difficult to predict who will take the title. Manchester United and Chelsea are fighting for a top 3 finish. Manchester United didn’t play in Game Week 33, while Chelsea and Liverpool had relatively straight forward games on paper, but life and sport isn’t played on paper. It is an exciting season as the title is yet to be decided and the top 3 hasn’t either.

Chelsea v West Ham My Review

Chelsea didn’t just have more possession than West Ham, they created more clear cut chances to score than them. Chelsea fans will be hoping that Eden Hazard stays at the football club as Hazard displayed how much Chelsea need him, with a brace, Hazard managed to score 1 goal in each half. Substitute Ross Barkley made an impact, Barkley provided the assist for Hazard’s 2nd goal. The total shots on target tells the story of who controlled the game, with Chelsea finishing with 7 compared with West Ham’s 2. The win puts Chelsea temporarily in the top 3.

 Southampton v Liverpool My Review

There were ominous signs early for Liverpool when Shane Long of Southampton broke the deadlock, which left Liverpool in a difficult predicament. Liverpool controlled the tempo of the game, finishing it with more than double the possession of that of Southampton. Southampton scored 1 goal from 1 opportunity, but they failed to create other clear cut chances. Liverpool scored an equalizer later in the 1st half through Naby Keita. Mohamed Salah and Jordan Henderson made the final score 3-1 in Liverpool’s favour at full time.
