 Backs

Blake Hardwick was prolific for the Hawks, playing a good game of footy Liam Jones did a good job curtailing the influence of Tigers key forward Jack Riewoldt, keeping the star forward to just a solitary goal. Charlie Ballard did a good job accumulating plenty of the ball, Ballard finished the game with 24 possessions. Ryan Burton provided plenty of run off half back for the Power. Despite the fact that the Kangaroos were comprehensively beaten by the Dockers Jamie Macmillan played an outstanding game on the half back line. Tom Stewart was on form for the Cats, his ball use was particularly impressive.

 Midfielders

Lachie Hunter does what he always manages to do, which is play an important, Hunter finished the game with 8 tackles. Sebastian Ross was a big reason why the Saints narrowly defeated the Suns. Justin Westhoff was outstanding for the Power kicking 5 goals.

 Forwards

Alex Sexton kicked 4 goals and was a pivotal part of why the Suns nearly defeated the Saints. Josh Bruce was outstanding for the Saints kicking 3 goals at important parts of the game. Lincoln Mccarthy performed well for the Lions kicking 4 goals. Charles Cameron is a good showed why he is such a handy forward pocket for the Lions. Aaron Naughton embraced his new role as a forward finishing the game with 3 goals. Sam Lloyd played his role for the Bulldogs, taking his chance to cement his spot in the best 22 for his new club.

Followers

Toby Nankervis was a standout for the Tigers kicking 3 goals. James Worpel was a key cog of the Hawks upsetting the Crows pushing forward to kick a couple of goals. Brad Crouch played his 1st game for a long time kicking 2 goals and winning plenty of the ball.

 Interchange

Jack Steven showed that he is a pivotal part of the Saints line up with every possession that he won valuable. Jacob Hopper displayed why he is an underrated part of the Giants line up. Rhys Mathieson finished the game with 25 possessions. James Cousins kicked 2 important goals for the Hawks, playing his role for the team.
