Premier League Game Week 25 My Review (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool)
It was yet another entertaining week of football with 2 out of 3 teams collecting the 3 points on offer. There were plenty of talking points to discuss. Find out what they were!
Leicester v Manchester United My Review
Both teams had their chances to score with 6 shots on target each. The only goal of the match was scored by Marcus Rashford; It was yet another goal for a player who struggled to get a spot in the starting line up under previous Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. It defies logic that Rashford wasn’t featuring in the starting 11 earlier in the season and begs the question, where would Manchester United be on the ladder if Rashford had started every game this season?
Chelsea v Huddersfield My Review
For the 2nd week in a row Chelsea dominated possession, thankfully unlike last week they were clinical in the final 3rd, converting their dominance on the scoreboard. Chelsea had a total of 65% possession for the match and scored 5 goals from their 7 shots on target. The margin should have been greater than 5 goals with Chelsea having 23 shots. New signing Gonzalo Higuain netted a brace and Eden Hazard returned to form with 2 goals of his own. Chelsea will be pleased with their efficiency in the final 3rd that means that they are in 4th place on the Premier League table.
West Ham v Liverpool My Review
Almost 3 times the amount of possession of the opposition and 6 shots on target to 2 and Liverpool still failed to win. Sadio Mane opened the scoring with a goal near the midway point of the 1st half, but West Ham equalized shortly after the deadlock was broken by Mane. It was a case of 2 points lost for Liverpool and it means that the title race is now well and truly alive!
