Hopefully there’s Plenty of Goals and Action in Round 17 of the A-League!

A-League Round 17 My Preview

Round 17 could be an entertaining and unpredictable weekend of football that should be an intriguing round.

My Choice of a definite winner for this Round: Reds

Friday February 1st

Wanderers v Jets
The Wanderers have been further up the ladder, if not for some errors that they have made as well as some decisions that have gone against them, while the Jets have battled to get shots on target and have been deplorable in the final 3rd, but that could change this week as the Wanderers have been disappointing defensively.
Wanderers Game Changer: Kwame Yeboah
Jets Game Changer: Roy O’Donovan
My Prediction: Jets

Saturday February 2nd

Mariners v Victory
Like the Wanderers the Mariners have conceded goals at important times in the games that they have played in. The Mariners game against the Victory could well be an upset if the Mariners like they did last week and the Victory perform like they did in the 2nd half of their game in Round 16.
Mariners Game Changer: Andrew Hoole
Victory Game Changer: Ola Toivonen
My Prediction: Mariners

Reds v Roar
Both teams didn’t perform that well last round in particular the Reds, but despite that the Reds collected all 3 points and the Roar scored 2 goals in 2nd half stoppage time to get a point out of their game. The Reds should be too good in this game.
Reds Game Changer: George Blackwood
Roar Blues Game Changer: Eric Bautheac
My Prediction: Reds

Glory v Phoenix
This is a game between arguably the 2 best coaches in the A-League at the moment. The Phoenix will need to improve on their performance in Round 16 as they have Fillip Kurto to thank for claiming all 3 points. Judging on the manner in which the 2 teams have performed throughout the season the Glory should win.
Glory Game Changer: Chris Ikonomidis
Phoenix Game Changer: Liberato Cacace
My Prediction: Glory

Sunday February 3rd

Sky Blues v City
This is an interesting game of football according to the way in which both teams performed in the 2nd half of their games in Round 16, this is a tough game to pick a winner, having said that the Sky Blues should win this game.
Sky Blues Game Changer: Andrew Redmayne
City Game Changer: Bart Schenkeveld
My Prediction: Sky Blues
