Dale Thomas was a positive to come out of the game for the Blues. Aliir Aliir and Jake Lloyd were outstanding for the Swans. Nathan Wilson was prolific for the Dockers, Tom Jonas had thirty possessions in an impressive display for Power. James Harmes was a good performer for the Demons.
Lachie Hunter and Jack Macrae played extremely well for the Bulldogs. Zach Merrett collected over thirty possessions and had a substantial impact on the contest for the Bombers.
Andrew Mcgrath was an important part of the Bombers team. Harry Himmelberg continued to be a revelation for the Giants. Jordan De Goey was probably the Magpies best player. Anthony Mcdonald-Tipungwuti kicked five goals in an unbelievable important role in the forward pocket for the Bombers. Jack Riewoldt and Josh Caddy managed to kick fourteen goals between them that helped the Tigers annihilate the Suns.
Todd Goldstein played a solid game, despite the Kangaroos losing to the Bulldogs. Patrick Dangerfield dominated for the Cats, even though they didn’t claim the four points against the Hawks. Sebastian Ross accumulated over forty disposals for the Saints in a team that was on the wrong side of the ledger as far as the result was concerned.
Rory Lobb helped the Giants defeat the Crows, Lobb dominated in his dual against Sam Jacobs of the Crows. Marcus Bontempelli was an important part of the Bulldogs team that upset the Kangaroos. Gary Ablett will be a chance to get the three votes on Brownlow Medal night for the Cats. Caleb Daniel got forty touches for the Bulldogs.
