AFL Round 21 My Preview

AFL Round 21 My Preview

If last weekend’s games are anything to go by, then round 21 of the AFL should be extremely interesting and entertaining. Five out of nine games had a margin of under a goal.

My choice of a definite winner for this Round: Tigers

Friday Night Game

Bombers v Saints
The Bombers have been in scintillating form, despite losing last weekend. The Saints started well last week kicking the first few goals, they capitulated. I can see the Saints being victorious in this contest.
Key matchup: Darcy Parish v Jack Sinclair
Bombers Game Changer: Zach Merrett
Saints Game Changer: Nathan Freeman
My Prediction: Saints

Saturday Games

Hawks v Cats
This is a game between two traditional rivals. The Cats should win this one, but I’m expecting to be a tight contest with not much in it.
Key matchup: Tom Mitchell v Joel Selwood
Hawks Game Changer: Jaeger O’Meara
Cats Game Changer: Sam Menegola
My Prediction: Cats

Suns v Tigers

The Tigers are very likely to win this one. I look forward to seeing Ivan Soldo get an opportunity in the ruck, while the Tigers welcome back four players from injury.
Key matchup: Jarrod Witts v Ivan Soldo.
Suns Game Changer: Lachie Weller
Tigers Game Changer: Dustin Martin
My Prediction: Tigers

Power v Eagles
This is a game that I can see the Eagles winning, I think they can cover the loss of Andrew Gaff through suspension.
Key matchup: Brad Ebert v Jack Redden
Power Game Changer: Sam Gray
Eagles Game Changer: Jack Darling
My Prediction: Eagles

Saturday Night Games

Magpies v Lions
The Lions could upset the Magpies as they have been in solid form.
Key matchup: Brodie Grundy v Stefan Martin
Magpies Game Changer: Tom Phillips
Lions Game Changer: Lewis Taylor
My Prediction: Lions

Giants v Crows
The Giants and Crows have been in good form of recent times. There is an opportunity for the Giants to substantiate why they are now premiership contenders.
Key matchup: Callan Ward v Matt Crouch
Giants Game Changer: Dylan Shiel
Crows Game Changer: Richard Douglas
My Prediction: Giants

Sunday Games

Kangaroos v Bulldogs
This is an intriguing contest, I can see the Bulldogs upsetting the Kangaroos.
Key matchup: Todd Goldstein v Jackson Trengove
Kangaroos Game Changer: Ben Cunnington
Bulldogs Game Changer: Jack Macrae
My Prediction: Bulldogs

Demons v Swans
The Demons had a resounding win last weekend, while the Swans had a tough, tight win. The Demons have the capability to be victorious in this contest.
Key matchup: Max Gawn v Callum Sinclair
Demons Game Changer: Angus Brayshaw
Swans Game Changer: Lance Franklin
My Prediction: Demons

Dockers v Blues
Both of these teams need of a victory to lift morale.
Key matchup: Lachie Neale v Marc Murphy
Dockers Game Changer: Michael Walters
Blues Game Changer: Marc Murphy
My Prediction: Blues
