Australian T20 Team vs India My 11

Preview– Australia’s three match twenty twenty series proves to be a one sided one for India. Australia have left the likes of James Faulkner, Matthew Wade and John Hastings out of the squad and can expect to lose the series comprehensively.

My 11 v India

1- Aaron Finch- Highly regarded as one of the most dangerous T20 players in the world.

2-David Warner (Captain)- Will complement Finch and ensure that the opening combination is a left hand, right hand one. Deserves a chance to lead the team and show his tactical capabilities.

3-Glenn Maxwell- Should get the opportunity to bat up the order so he can show his all round abilities.

4- Travis Head (Vice Captain)- Like Warner and Finch he is extremely capable of performing at T20 level.

5- Moises Henriques- In my opinion one of the most talented all rounders in the country. Deserves to bowl more overs in order to be regarded as a genuine all rounder.

6-Dan Christian- Another player capable of producing in the shortest format of the game. Warrants an opportunity to bat in the middle order in order to showcase his big hitting. A handy bowler to.

7-Tim Paine- Needs to produce in order to showcase his ability to selectors.

8-Nathan Coulter-Nile- Could prove to be important at the end of the innings with the bat. Took some crucial wickets in the fifty over format against India.

9- Kane Richardson- Made his name playing for the Adelaide Strikers in the T20 format.

10- Patrick Cummins- Burst onto the scene playing for the Sydney Sixers. Needs to stay injury free.

11-Jason Behrendorff- Has performed well for the Perth Scorchers. Will create a point of difference being a left arm bowler.

My Synopsis– Time will tell whether the Aussies can produce at this level. I wouldn’t risk Steve Smith due to his injury. There is an opportunity for the Aussies to have a new leader. In my opinion David Warner will benefit from the opportunity to lead his country and the Vice Captaincy would improve Travis Head as a player and a person. It will be an opportunity for the likes of Maxwell, Cummings and Behrendorff to stake their claim for a spot in the Ashes line up.
